Owned by the Marquis de Breteuil since its origins in 1600 the Chateau is famous for its XVIII th century's decoration and gardens (Jardins à la Française) surrounded by a 75 ha. park.

The Museum

The de Breteuil family shares the place today with historical characters made of wax by the Musée Grévin's workshops to welcome visitors in the appropriate atmosphere. On the other hand, the fiction of Charles de Perrault fairy tales inspired some sceneries. On sundays and public holidays from May 1st to October 26th Breteuil appears like a living museum with its guides in XVIII th century costumes.
